An ex-employee has accused Rudy Giuliani of sexual harassment.
A former employee is bringing a sexual harassment claim against Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s former lawyer.
In the $10 million (£8 million) civil case, Noelle Dunphy claims that he forced her into “sex acts and went on alcohol-drenched” and racial rants at work.
According to the lawsuit, he exposed himself, used Viagra “constantly,” and told Ms. Dunphy that meeting his sexual needs was a requirement of his position.
Via a spokesperson, Mr. Giuliani “vehemently” denied the charges.
Ms. Dunphy, who claims she was employed by Mr. Giuliani’s firm in 2019 while he was serving as Mr. Trump’s personal attorney, filed the lawsuit on Monday in the state of New York.
In her lawsuit, which describes her accusations in graphic detail, she claims that Mr. Giuliani started abusing her almost as soon as she started working for him.
In his apartment, the former mayor of New York City allegedly forced Ms. Dunphy to perform oral sex “against her will.”
On video conference calls, Mr. Giuliani allegedly would visibly touch himself and “often demanded that she work naked, in a bikini, or in short shorts with an American flag on them that he bought for her.”
The lawsuit claims that Ms. Dunphy recorded Mr. Giuliani’s conversations, which included racial, sexist, and antisemitic remarks in addition to sexual demands and comments.
Ms. Dunphy is also suing Mr. Giuliani for wage theft, alleging that he withheld payment of a promised $1 million salary for the position because it would need to be postponed while his divorce was being finalised.
The claims are “pure harassment and an attempt at extortion,” according to a spokesperson for Mr. Giuliani, who “vehemently and completely denies the allegations.”
“The Associated Press” cited Ted Goodman, Mr. Giuliani’s communications advisor, as saying that “Mayor Giuliani’s career of service to society speaks for its own, and he is going to pursue every available remedy and counterclaims.”
