Angus Cloud, the 25-year-old actor known for his role as ‘Fez’ in Euphoria, has passed away.

Angus Cloud, the 25-year-old actor known for his role as Fezco “Fez” O’Neill in the popular HBO series Euphoria, has passed away.

According to a publicist, Angus, who portrayed a drug dealer on the teen drama, died at his family home in Oakland, California, leaving his family with heavy hearts.

Just last week, Angus attended his father’s funeral in Ireland and struggled deeply with the loss. His family found some consolation in knowing that he was now reunited with his beloved father, who had been his best friend.

Angus was open about his mental health battles, and his family hopes that his passing will serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone in their struggles and should not suffer in silence. They want the world to remember him for his sense of humour, laughter, and love for everyone.

The cause of Angus’s death has not been disclosed.

HBO expressed immense sadness upon learning of Angus’s passing, recognising him as an immensely talented and cherished member of the Euphoria family. They extended their heartfelt condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.

Although Angus had minor acting credits in two films and appeared in music videos for various artists, his career truly skyrocketed when he secured the role of Fez, the high school drug dealer, in Euphoria. The role led him to become a breakout star, gaining acclaim from the Hollywood Reporter, and his character’s role was expanded in the second season.

Euphoria, which premiered in June 2019, quickly became a hit and, by 2022, became the most tweeted-about TV show of the decade in the US.

In the wake of Angus’s passing, his rumoured on-off relationship partner, Sydney Martin, expressed her sorrow on Instagram with broken heart emojis. His co-star Javon “Wanna” Walton, known as Cloud’s adoptive brother Ashtray in the show, also paid tribute on Instagram, bidding him to rest easy.

Actress Kerry Washington also posted on social media, expressing her deep sadness and stating that Angus will be greatly missed, leaving behind a lasting legacy that will make Oakland proud. May he rest in power.
