Ariana Grande opens up about past cosmetic procedures and self-image.

Ariana Grande has opened up about her past use of filler and Botox as a means of concealing herself. The singer shared these revelations in a heartfelt video for Vogue, disclosing that she ceased these cosmetic procedures in 2018.
In the emotionally charged video, Ariana acknowledged her reliance on cosmetic enhancements, stating, “Full transparency. As someone involved in the beauty industry, I’ve had numerous lip fillers and Botox injections over the years.” She went on to reveal that beauty, for her, had long been about concealing her true self.
The 30-year-old star expressed a shift in her perspective, stating, “And now I feel like maybe it’s not.” She described her decision to discontinue these treatments in 2018, explaining that she felt they had become excessive. Ariana desired to embrace her natural facial expressions, including her “cry lines” and “smile lines.”
While sharing these sentiments, Ariana appeared visibly moved and confessed that she hadn’t anticipated becoming emotional during a video where she was demonstrating a 60s makeup look.
She emphasised that ageing is a beautiful process and hinted that she might consider other procedures in the future. With a touch of humour, she quipped, “Now, might I get a facelift in 10 years? I might, yeah!”
Ariana, who has her own makeup brand, also discussed her evolving relationship with cosmetics since her rise to fame at 17, playing Cat Valentine in “Victorious.” She revealed that she once used makeup as a disguise but has since transformed her approach, using beauty products as a means of self-expression to accentuate her features.
This isn’t the first time Ariana has candidly addressed appearance-related issues. In a TikTok video earlier in the year, she advocated for more considerate language, encouraging people to avoid making comments about others’ appearances, even when well-intentioned. She stressed the importance of fostering a culture of support and safety among individuals.
