In a survey 75% test positive for COVID-19 antibodies in 5 Mumbai slums

In a survey conducted from October 5 to October 10 around 75% of residents of five slums at Cuffe Parade tested positive for covid-19 antibodies. 605 out of a total of 806 participants tested positive for Covid-19 antibodies. As per the reports of the survey only 8 people, less than 1% of the residents tested positive for the Covid-19 in the past. The results were much higher than the BMC seroprevalence result of 45% in slums and 18% in buildings.
The survey was organized by the Eyebetes foundation, Dr. Nishant Kumar, and BJP corporator Harshita Narwekar.
