Sexual Assault Allegations Against Diddy by Former Girlfriend Surface
Renowned rap artist Sean “Diddy” Combs faces serious accusations of rape and sex trafficking from his former girlfriend and R&B singer, Casandra Ventura, known as Cassie. In a lawsuit, Ventura claims she endured a decade of abuse and violence at the hands of Combs, starting when she was 19 and he was 37. The lawsuit details graphic descriptions of violent incidents and accuses Combs of being a “serial domestic abuser.”
Ventura alleges that Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, signed her to his record label, Bad Boy, and subjected her to drugs and alcohol, leading to dangerous addictions. She accuses him of physical abuse, including beatings and kicks resulting in black eyes, bruises, and blood.
Combs vehemently denies the allegations, asserting that Ventura is attempting to extort him. His lawyer calls the claims “offensive and outrageous.” Ventura, in a statement, expressed her readiness to share her story after years of silence, aiming to give a voice to women facing violence in relationships.
Combs’ lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, stated that Ventura demanded $30 million under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship. Brafman labelled this demand as blatant blackmail, a claim denied by Ventura’s lawyer, Doug Wigdor. According to Wigdor, Combs offered an eight-figure payment to silence her, an offer Ventura rejected to speak out for all women suffering in silence.
The lawsuit also alleges that Combs planned to blow up a car owned by rapper Kid Cudi, with whom Ventura was in a relationship. Ventura claims Combs shared this plan during Paris Fashion Week in 2012. A spokeswoman for Kid Cudi corroborated Ventura’s account, stating that his car did explode in his driveway around that time.
Ventura gained fame for hits like “Me & U,” “Long Way to Go,” and “Official Girl,” featuring Lil Wayne, in the 2000s.
