Celebrities that contracted coronavirus in 2020

The spread of novel coronavirus that started in December 2019 from a small wholesale food market in Wuhan has now affected the whole world. The virus is spreading illness and havoc in every country. No matter how big or influential anyone is the virus spares no one, if you get in its contact it will contaminate you. Many of our big celebrities got infected with the virus in 2020 including:

Rakul Preet

Rakul Preet Singh recently got tested positive for Coronavirus. The ‘Yaariyan’ and ‘DE de Pyaar de’ famed actress contracted the coronavirus during her shoots. 

While sharing her COVID-19 positive news she said “I’d like to inform everyone that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have quarantined myself. I am feeling fine and will rest up well so that I can be back at shoot soon…… Request everyone who met me to kindly get yourself tested. Thank you and please stay safe” she posted on her Instagram 

Amitabh Bachchan 

The Reputed Big B of Bollywood contracted the virus in June. The actor was admitted to the hospital. He has recovered completely from the COVID-19 now.

The report of Bachhan’s testing positive for coronavirus was a big scene in media. 

Amitabh Bachchan’s family including son Abhishek Bachhan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya tested positive for corona.
Initially, Amitabh and Abhishek were admitted to the hospital, and Aishwarya with her daughter Aaradhya was in self-isolation but later they were also shifted to hospitals.

Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan revealed he had tested positive for corona through his Instagram post in December. The actor wrote, “All precautions were taken by the production, but still nothing is certain in life, especially not covid-19”.

Varun was shooting in Chandigarh for his upcoming movie ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ when he tested positive for COVID-19. His next movie is the remake version of 1995 hit ‘Coolie No. 1’

Neetu Kapoor

Initially, It was speculated that Neetu Kapoor tested positive for coronavirus and later the speculations were confirmed by the veteran actress herself. 

Neetu said, “Earlier this week I tested positive for Covid- 19. All safety measures are being followed and I am thankful to the authorities for all their help and quick response. I am in self-quarantine, taking medication on my doctor’s advice, and feeling better. I am so grateful for all your love and support! Please stay safe, wear a mask, keep a safe distance. Take care.” 

She has now tested negative for corona and thanked her fans and well-wishers for their prayers and blessings. 

Kriti Sanon

Kriti tested positive just after her return from her shoot in Chandigarh. The actress was shooting in Chandigarh for her upcoming movie with Rajkumar Rao.

However, she has not posted anything about her COVID-19 positive reports yet.

Kanika Kapoor

Kanika Kapoor was among the first in Bollywood to test positive for corona. The ‘babydoll’ famed singer has led to the birth of multiple controversies when her corona reports came in public.

She faced huge backlash for not following Covid-19 protocols when she returned to the country from the U.K amid the pandemic.

The pictures of the singers attending a party went viral when she tested positive for COVID-19. Even a police FIR was lodged against her for her negligence and committing acts likely to spread a hazardous disease.

Arjun Kapoor

The Ishaqzaade actor tested positive for corona in October. Arjun has now recovered and resumed his work.

Sharing his experience with a news site he said, “I was diagnosed positive on a Sunday. I remember waking up the next day with a slight fever, body ache, and was feeling fatigued while using the washroom. By Wednesday, it felt like a regular viral and the fever had subsided, but I felt sluggish and tired through the rest of the week. Emotionally, the recuperation is unique because nobody knows how to go about it. Even today, I am careful because the doctors have advised me to take it one day at a time. I don’t know how badly my lungs were affected, or how much of my stamina is affected, except that every once in a while, I feel like someone who has recovered from a virus because the fatigue factor is real. I am young, but the senior family members might not be able to cope with this as easily we can.”

Arjun’s good friend Malaika Arora has also tested positive when he was diagnosed with corona.
