Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith focused on healing their marriage.

Jada Pinkett Smith has recently disclosed that she and her husband, Will Smith, are diligently working on their marriage following her revelation that they separated in 2016. Despite regularly appearing together, they have been living separately.

The Hollywood couple made headlines last year when Will Smith stormed the stage at the Oscars and slapped host Chris Rock, defending his wife and exclaiming, “Keep my wife’s name out of your [expletive] mouth.”

In an interview with NBC’s Today Show, Jada Pinkett Smith shared that they are currently in a deep healing phase, actively focusing on mending their relationship. Their goal is to restore their relationship to a lifelong partnership and embrace each other’s humanity rather than striving for idealised perfection.

The question of whether they might live together again was raised during the interview, and Pinkett Smith indicated that it’s a possibility. She emphasised her commitment to working through their issues and noted that they had considered a legal divorce but ultimately decided against it.

Their relationship had faced challenges prior to her recent revelation. In 2020, rumours circulated after the couple discussed on her Facebook show, Red Table Talk, that she had been in an “entanglement” with artist August Alsina. This revelation led to speculation about the state of their marriage.

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s journey together began in 1994 when she auditioned for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and they married in 1997. They have two children together, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith, and Will Smith has a son, Trey Smith, from his first marriage.

The couple’s commitment to working on their relationship reflects their determination to overcome the challenges they’ve faced, demonstrating that healing and growth are central to their journey.
