Punjab farmers gather along the border to protest farm laws

Hundreds of farmers from Punjab started gathering on the interstate border along Haryana to protest the Centre’s three farm laws. The farmers have named their movement from Punjab borders to the National capital as ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest.
Manohar Lal Khattar, CM of Haryana has ordered to seal the state borders with Punjab on 26 and 27 November. Delhi police have asked the farmers to stop their entry into the city as gatherings aren’t allowed there. Police have also informed the public to avoid highways due to farmer’s gatherings and protest there.
Section 144 is imposed in Haryana to prevent the entry of protestors and hundreds of farmers have already been taken into ‘preventive custody’.
