Regarding the 2023 World Cup and Asia Cup, there has long been hostility between the Indian Cricket Board (ICBC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The World Cup in 2023 will be hosted by India; therefore, mention that the Asia Cup will be held there.

Najam Sethi, the newly appointed chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, who recently succeeded Rameez Raja in that position, has made a significant statement regarding this matter, stating that he will not make any decisions regarding it without first consulting the national government of the nation.

According to India TV’s report on the newly elected PCB chairman, Najam Sethi, “We would follow whatever the country’s government advises us, and we will contact the government when the time comes.” Insofar as I adhered to it while serving as the first president.

Najam Sethi continued, “And as for the Asia Cup 2023, I’ll go to the Asian Cricket Council and see what the situation is, and then we’ll decide in the best interest of the game.” We must check the current positions of other cricket boards during this. We must play cricket with everyone, and we will not take any action that will cause us to become isolated.

We’ll just say that the Asia Cup 2023 controversy got hot when India’s Secretary of the Board of Cricket, Jai Shah, who also serves as the President of the Asian Cricket Council, stated that the tournament would be hosted in a neutral location and that India would not be touring Pakistan for it.

Rameez Raja, the previous head of the PCB, responded to this by stating that the Pakistan cricket team will boycott the World Cup that will be held in India if India does not tour Pakistan for the Asia Cup and if Pakistan is denied the privilege to host the Asia Cup.
